Becoming You...

For young people

Through both my careers and counselling work I have worked with hundreds of adolescents over the past ten years; helping them through various life altering transitions. These issues have included exam worries, peer pressure, family breakdown, bullying, and addiction. I have facilitated personal development sessions with 16 to 19 year olds at a local college: addressing self-awareness, emotions and relationships.

I very much enjoy working with young people. Unfortunately many young people have had many bad experiences very early in their life and as a result become jaded and despondent. An aspect of our work together would be to support you to realise that although you did not have power over your past you do have some power over your future and can make different choices from what you might be familiar with. This is the same for many adults.
